Thorah Island Honey

The rich texture and flavour of this honey is unique and much beloved. 

Produced on Thorah Island, a lake island located in the Southeast portion of Lake Simcoe. This island is used as an isolated mating station for the bees who produce the most remarkable honey. Given Thorah's isolated nature, it offers a pristine environment for bee life to flourish. Thorah Island is a safe haven for bees and their honey. 

While the head beekeeper would like to note that honey profiles can shift year to year, Thorah Island Honey is typically a darker golden shaded honey. This gives it a powerful honey flavour. Thorah Island Honey can also carry hints of cinnamon.

Thorah Island honey is gently heated and filtered to prevent crystallization and to remove excess wax and pollen. The honey is never pasteurized and has many antibacterial properties. It is delicious as a spread on toast, natural sweetener, smoothie additive, and more.
